Indoor Fountains For A More Restful Atmosphere
If youre looking for a way to create a less stressful atmosphere in your home, indoor fountains may be the answer. Fountains are a great way to construct for yourself a meditative, relaxing, stress-free area where you can let go of the stress of the day. These fountains come in several different materials, each of which will go differently with a different dcor. There are three basic styles of indoor fountains, each uses a different amount of space, and creates a different feeling in a room. Use the following guide to decide which type of fountain is right for you.
Tabletop Fountains
Tabletop indoor fountains are just what their name suggests a water fountain that sits on a table or pedestal. These fountains usually are made of granite, copper, slate, or glass. Tabletop fountains are perfect for smaller houses and apartments, as they dont take up very much space. The downside to a tabletop fountain is that if you have very small children in the home, it is imperative that you keep the fountain in a place they cannot reach, as they can be easily pulled from their stand. Tabletop fountains are also the most affordable of all indoor fountains.
Wall Fountains
The second most common type of the indoor fountains is a wall fountain. The fountains are created to hang on the wall, and are sometimes actually built into the wall of a home. Wall fountains are my personal favorite type of indoor fountains. Due to their size, they seem to change the entire mood of a room much more quickly than a tabletop fountain. Unfortunately, wall fountains do tend to be rather expensive; be sure that you take extra special care of these indoor fountains, as they are not inexpensive to replace.
Floor Fountains
The third type of the indoor fountains is a floor fountain. Floor fountains are free-standing water fountains that range from smaller fountains that sit on stands, to relatively large fountains that sit in the middle of the floor. These indoor fountains are usually quite decorative, and can actually be made to look like they have been around for centuries.
Whichever of the indoor fountains you choose, you will be pleasantly surprised at the atmosphere you will be able to create in your home. Indoor fountains are a wonderful addition to any home or office, and will last for years to come. |
